The Green Party of New Jersey voted last week by an overwhelming majority of almost 80% to endorse Howie Hawkins and his Vice Presidential selection Angela Walker as their choice to be the green party’s candidates.
The GPNJ also has reached matching funds status, raising over $5,000 and counting for the campaign. If the Hawkins/Walker campaign raises $5.000 in 20 states in increments of $250 or less they will qualify for federal matching funds. Once this is achieved every dollar the campaign raises will be matched dollar for dollar by the federal government. This will be a huge boost to the campaign, allowing Howie to hire campaign staff and run a campaign that will get him on the ballot in all 50 states and eligible voting territories.
